Black Friday Sales Increase
Sales for the day was $10.7 biliion. That was an increase from the year before of 3%. It seems that companies and managers are doing there jobs. Even though the country is worst than it was last year, at least sales were up this year. Hopefully these companies will continue with there agrresive promotional strategies and increase there gross profits.

Walmart Worker Killed
If they would have predict how wild the crowd was they could have avoided it. The crowd of people waiting on a line from the morning before were crazy to get in. A Walmart Worker was opening the doors as a the rush of people came and trampled him. If they would have predicted the crowd of peopel, they would have managed to avoid the disaster.

Congress Wants an Effort From Auto Makers
Congress said they were unimpressed by automakers. Congress wants to see plans from automakers by Dec. 2. They dont think a bailout will work, because they have been in denial for 3 decades. Automakers better think fast about what there are going to do.
Black Friday Sales
128 million Americans say there going to shop Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is said to be a decrease from last year. The economy is having a negative influence on the holidays.

Conflict For L.A.P.D.
An officer named Juan Abel Escalante was killed in early August. The conflict trigger was that he was killed, and they cannot find who did it. To solve the problem they are giving out $95,000 to help find out who commited the crime. It is a competetive conflict because they are trying to negotiate with the poepl who know what hapenned.

Taxpayers money for $200 million of unapproved drugs
The government has been buying $200 million of unapproved drugs. From 2004-2007 about 100 unapproved drugs were bought. There were also some deaths linked to these unapproved drugs. The drugs that were bought were mostly common colds and pain.
Citibank Bailout
The government is planning on giving money to one of the biggest banks Citibank. Citibank has alot of bad mortgage investments. They have laid off 53 thousands people but was still unsucessful. The Government wants to bail them out and have ownership in the company.

Oil Drops 7%
Oil keeps dropping more and more. It has went down 7% to $49.62 a barrel. it is less than $50.00 a barrel. At this rate, there will be a reactive change in the numbers of automobiles in the streets.
Democrats Want A Strategic Change
Democrats are saying they do not want to give the auto industry $25 billion. They want to see that they aren't going to use this money poorly. Democrats want to see a conviencing plan before they let the auto industry see some light.

Anthony Williams former mayor of Washington D.C. stopped a robbery. The thief was about to rob a truck. the former mayor told the thief to put down the laptop he was about steal, and the thief recongized him. After Williams told him put it down, he actually listened and put it down and walked away.

According CNN.com/crime, Bernie Conatser an owner of a gun store in Washington, gun sales have increased since Obama has been Elected. He says "I have been in business for 12 years, and I was here for Y2K, September 11, Katrina..." People are saying that Democratics will want to remove the right have a gun.

They released the first pictures of planets outside of the solar system. With NASA technology they discovered 4 new planets orbiting around starts. We might be able to discover completely new things in time with the technology.

Obama Was official declared president last night. He won by a land slide. States that have been Republican for years have voted in the Democrat. Everyone was in the streets of New York were cheering as if it was a the Giants one the world series. That alone shows the positive influence he has on this country.
